The tax authorities have announced this week that the online filing system (Tax-on-web) for both the 2020 resident and non-resident tax return (income year 2019) will be closed on April 1, 2021.
This means you will no longer be able to file your tax return for income year 2019 online.
After that, you will need to submit your tax return on paper. If you have not received a paper form, you need to request it directly with the tax authorities. We can also provide assistance with that if needed.
In theory, you can be fined for not filing or for a late submission of your tax return, but in practice the tax authorities would normally not impose a fine or tax increase if you still submit your return spontaneously.
The filing season for income year 2020 (tax year 2021) will start early May.
