The Annual Tax Conference 2023 takes place in beautiful Bergen, Norway. Bergen is the gateway to the Fjords of Norway. As a UNESCO World Heritage City and a European City of Culture, it offers the ideal combination of nature, culture, and exciting urban life all year around.
The overall topic for this tax conference will be taxation in the private equity and venture capital industry. The main issues will be addressed through three different focal points exploring the fiscal pitfalls and opportunities for different actors and drivers in the industry:
- Key management and business angels,
- M&A transactions and venture investments, and
- Tax efficient investment structures.
The sessions will seek to address the relevant tax aspects for the different types of taxpayers involved, ranging from private clients to larger multinational corporations (carried interest, withholding taxes, succession planning aspects and latest development such as Pillar II and the EU Unshell Directive).Gregory is a speaker on the panel ‘Keeping key management and employees incentivised in a tax efficient manner’ and is joined by other international tax colleagues from Denmark, Bulgaria, Spain, Switzerland and Germany.
